2019-2021年度香港報業公會執行委員會選舉結果
香港報業公會今天(2019年8月28日)舉行了第六十五屆周年會員大會及新一屆議會會議，推選了李祖澤先生為會長、甘煥騰先生為主席、蕭世和先生及郭艷明女士為副主席、名譽秘書為張介岭先生、名譽司庫為黎振輝先生。新一屆議會亦通過委任劉志權先生為總幹事，盧永雄先生為新聞發言人。
周年會員大會選出全體13名議會委員：盧覺麟先生(AM730)、周立先生﹝中國日報香港版﹞、張介岭先生﹝香港商報﹞、郭艷明女士﹝信報﹞、黎振輝先生﹝香港經濟日報﹞、甘煥騰先生﹝明報﹞、蕭世和先生﹝星島日報及英文虎報﹞、盧永雄先生﹝星島日報﹞、何和民先生﹝南華早報﹞、周松欣先生﹝南華早報﹞、于世俊先生﹝大公報﹞、林映先生﹝文匯報及香港仔﹞及鍾蘊晴女士﹝新晚報﹞。
過去一年，香港報業公會一如既往，繼續關注及維護業界權益，並致力提高專業水平，加強業界與政府的溝通。面對媒體整合、行業競爭的大潮，新聞傳播格局日新月異，我們深信具備公信力的傳統媒體的公正客觀報道，實非新媒體或社交網絡可以輕易替代。無論傳媒生態怎樣改變，報紙作為主要的新聞媒體，必須堅守忠於事實的原則，承擔社會責任，推動社會進步。公會積極團結及凝聚業界，與時並進，保持競爭力。「2018年度香港最佳新聞奬」頒獎典禮已於4月29日圓滿舉行，香港特別行政區政務司司長張建宗擔任主禮嘉賓。今屆評獎活動得到業界的大力支持，參賽作品數量超過630份，獲獎作品備受好評。
ELECTION RESULTS OF 2019-2021 NSHK EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Newspaper Society of Hong Kong held its 65th Anual General Meeting on August 28, 2019. The Council elected Mr. Lee Cho-jat as President, Mr. Keith Kam as Chairman, Mr. Siu Sai-wo and Ms. Alice Kwok as Vice-Chairman. Other office-bearers elected were Honorary Secretary Mr. Zhang Jieling and Honorary Treasurer Mr. Eric Lai. The Council also appointed Mr. Lau Chi-kuen as Executive Director and Mr. Lo Wing-hung as spokesman.
A total of thirteen Council Members were elected. They are Mr. Alan Lo (AM730), Mr. Ray Zhou (China Daily – Hong Kong Edition), Mr. Zhang Jieling (Hong Kong Commercial Daily), Ms. Alice Kwok (Hong Kong Economic Journal), Mr. Eric Lai (Hong Kong Economic Times), Mr. Keith Kam (Ming Pao Daily News), Mr. Siu Sai-wo (Sing Tao Daily and The Standard), Mr. Lo Wing-hung (Sing Tao Daily), Mr. Chow Chung-yan (South China Morning Post), Mr. Alex Ho (South China Morning Post), Mr. Yu Shijun (Ta Kung Pao), Mr. Lin Ying (Wen Wei Po and Lion Rock Daily), and Ms. Chung Wan-ching (The New Evening Post).
The Society has continued to work on various fronts to raise the professional standards of journalism, safeguard the interests of the industry and maintain close communication with the Government. In the face of media convergence in a highly competitive business environment, the structure of the media industry has undergone enormous changes. We strongly believe that traditional media plays an irreplaceable role of providing credible, objective and fair news reports. Regardless of the changing ecology of the media, newspapers as major news providers must abide by the principle of seeking truth, and be socially responsible in fostering social progress. The annual Hong Kong News Awards presentation ceremony was held in April to recognize the outstanding works of journalists and was officiated by the Chief Secretary of Administration of the HKSAR Government, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung. We received an overwhelming response from the industry with more than 630 entries submitted for this year's competition.
