　　新闻业界不乏富有朝气、满怀理想的从业人士。他们传递最新资讯，报道各类事件。面对现今的复杂社会，新闻人员必须秉持最高专业操守，以敏锐触觉和广阔视野，勉力报实求真。

　　香港报业公会每年颁发最佳新闻奖，旨在表扬杰出新闻从业员，为他们出类拔萃的新闻作品鼓掌喝采，以鼓励业界不断进步，精益求精。

　　谨此衷心祝贺本届得奖者，祝愿各位日后成就更上层楼。

　　Talented and aspiring members of the news industry make their mark by bringing us the latest information and interesting reports. They are often required to demonstrate good judgement and vision, and must uphold the highest ethical standards in the search for truth in today's complex society.

　　The annual Hong Kong News Awards presented by The Newspaper Society of Hong Kong pay tribute to distinguished members of the news industry. As well as recognising outstanding work, the Awards encourage the profession to strive for even higher standards and greater achievements.
