　　香港有很多令人骄傲的地方，充分的新闻自由和资讯自由是其中之一。很难想像，没有这个优势的香港会是一个怎样的地方。新闻传播工作为香港作出贡献，不仅是无形的思想、文化贡献，而且也是有形的经济、物质贡献。香港的经济繁荣离不开新闻自由和资讯自由。随□□T科技日益发达，我们必须更加珍惜这些自由，培养更多更出色的新闻传播人才。我们的新闻自由和资讯自由是充分的，但这方面的杰出人才，永远不会足够，因为我们面对□满A是资讯不断膨胀，以及由此而来的挑战。

    　　Hong Kong prides itself on many things and high on the list are press freedom and the free flow of information. And it is hard to imagine what Hong Kong would be like without them.

　　Our media industry has been conducive not only to our broader thinking, but also to our economic prosperity, showcasing how freedom of the press and free flow of information have underpinned our economic success. With technology advancing at such a rapid a pace, this kind of freedom is all the more cherished. While we enjoy a high degree of press freedom, we should never forget to train as many remarkable journalists as we can to meet the challenges in this era of information expansion.
